lyrics

Rain coming down early in the morning shooting to the ground in a hellish whip
With the lord I'm bound but I've been wasted for so many precious miles
Come baby wont ya be my lady take ya to California if it don't seem crazy
We can ride together if you don't think twice and you look through that golden eye

Well i ain't got time i ain't got money and your best friend says that he's taking your honey
Its a shame your always gunning for the blood of me

She's like steel she's like iron forged from below with the wells and the fire
Not like someone that you love the most but may come around in time
But your world would change to black to blue when lying tales will come back at you
With your money and your life regretted it keeps me right in line
Well i aint got time i aint got money and your best friend says that hes taking your honey
Its a shame your always gunning for the blood of me

So please don't you run from me
Yeah please you're my honey bee

Well i cant help it i live my life stripped to the bone in the muck and the mire
I will wait for who i love the most and she will come around in time
Come baby wont ya be my lady take ya to califonria if it dont seem crazy
We can ride together if you dont think twice and you look through that golden eye
Well i aint got time i aint got money and your best friend says that hes taking your honey
Its a shame your always gunning for the blood of me

about

The Dirty Pennies Rochester, New York

The Dirty Pennies formed at the end of 2012.
Originally a power DUO with bluesy rock guitar and heavy driving drums, Ryan Klem and Lucas Howe gigged constantly creating a loyal fan base at almost every venue in town.
Fast forward to 2015 and the band added a third member, Joe Mungo, to provide a much needed bottom to the rhythm section and an Indie Rock flavor to their current Blues Rock styling.
